I have a few electric wheelchair motors that i'd like to use the top speed when they were on the chair was 6mph. Can they me modified to go a bit faster maybe 12-15 mph?

Let me tell you a little about my project. I'm in a wheelchair and i'm buildfing a go cart that I can roll on top of and drive. Essentially it's a go cart with an open square platform in the center i roll into from the side with a small built in metal ramp. I'm using an ebay powerMax 6.5 hp...
