I bought 6" driven off of Amazon but new belt rides up out of groove about 1/8th inch is it supposed to. It keeps creeping

Can anyone tell me what series this convertor is and how to measure for a belt. It came off of a 2006 Brister's Scorpion ZX265 Go Kart. All I'm changing is the engine. It had a 6.5 tecumseh and I'm putting a predator on it. I'm cleaning rust off now.

How fast does average dead axle go kart go?

I have a thunder kart with 6" rims but they are shot rims and tires. It seems more cost efficient to go with 5" instead. Does anyone know if that will cause any problems.it has predator 212 10 tooth cent clutch #41 chain and 60T sprocket.
