    Stalling??

Thanks everyone for your help. Got the oil sensor eliminated, and did a bit more work on it this morning and picked up 2 mph GPS. Next step is getting rid of the governor. Thanks Russ for the link to your pics - that was VERY helpful in working out my electrical gremlins. Cheers bud! :cheers2:

    What next??

OK, so that is a result of the governor holding me back - right?? I want to wind this thing up tight and go higher rpms - I don't want to blow the motor prematurely, but I know myself, and eventually it is inevitable. I just do that sort of thing. I guess by me asking all these questions is...

    What next??

I see you guys mentioning throttle linkage alot... Again, I'm new to this, and I wouldn't know good from bad, or what to change, or what questions to ask. All I know is that if I'm running on flat road and floor the pedal, it will start to back off on me and only give intermittent fuel. Same...

    What next??

I just bought a house in Apache Junction - A HOUSE, not a trailer - (local humor, excuse me guys) I live on a dirt road, so I have plenty of space to run this thing. Thanks everyone for the great replies. I guess I should back track a bit and tell you what I want to see out of the Kart. I'm...

    What next??

OK, I'm new this go-kart hobby, and you all successfully guided me in disconnecting the oil sensor in my 6.5 hp Harbor Freight motor on a Manco frame. After working out my electrical gremlins, and repairing a fuel line I nicked, I'm running good. Now, how do I remove the governor on this motor...

    Stalling??

Sounds like oil sensor it is - I didn't think this little motor was complicated enough to have an oil sensor. So much for spending my July 4 holiday on the sofa, I'll be farting around with the go kart untile I get this figured out. Thanks for the help fella's - I'll keep ya'll posted. Drinks on...

    Stalling??

Wow!!! I'm shocked at all the good responses to a newbie - this must be a good forum. I'm usually on HP Offshore boat forums (my main hobby). It's just a stock Manco drive gear with a 12 tooth clutch (brand new - maybe one hour on it now). As far as an axle, it's just direct drive to the left...

    Stalling??

I'm 40 yrs old, and bought an old Manco chassis one night on E-bay because I was pizzed that I never had a go-kart as a kid. I've had this thing sitting for three years and moved it from Kentucky to Arizona where I now live. I've had all the pieces for at least two years, and finally put it all...
