Time for another off topic rant

Actually, I guess I don't care about what the government sees me do. I'm not that interesting.

That’s just what they hope you’ll say. Better be on your best behavior, sir but what you just told me might constitute a thought crime….


Saw a story about an innocent guy, no actual warrant for his arrest, but every time he drove by one of those cameras, it pinged him on every patrol car on the road. He was pulled over every time (at least for a time he was) and the cops eventually got used to seeing him but ran his license each time. I think he developed PTSD. Anyway, it’s not foolproof technology. He should have sold his truck (because the a.i. knows his truck AND plate) but I guess he was hoping for a less drastic solution.

In all seriousness, the situation we as a nation are facing is unavoidable, at least at this point. It was avoidable at one time but we get what we vote for. And even then, are we really in control of that? Or are we led to believe that we are? I certainly don't want this to turn political... but I will say, and I have been saying it for many years... We are witnessing the fall of Rome - by our own doing.

Allow me to offer an alternative view. Its not our own doing but rather being tricked and outsmarted. Well, then many people will say its our own fault for being so stupid but just because youve been outsmarted doesnt necessarily mean youre stupid. The 'powers that be' know that humans be humaning.

That's an agreeable viewpoint. When the lies are being perpetrated from every possible source and every possible angle, what then to believe?
