I got my golf cart with a modified 440 Duromax out for it's first spin today. Went about a mile and it is obviously in need of smaller jetting. Just as I pulled in my driveway I heard a small pop followed by lots of white smoke! Popped the hood and oil everywhere. Took a minute or 2 and I found the clutch side crankshaft seal had blown out. I have a Billet ARC side cover on it. When I built the engine it seemed to go in just fine. Looked everything over and discovered bonehead me put the PVC valve in backwards! So I'll pull the clutch and install a new one. I bet at least a pint of oil blew out.

This reads like that moment you find a rouge bolt, but not where it came from or should go... 🤷‍♂️ don't see any empty bolt holes... what's the worst that could happen?

So now, if anyone knows. I have a ARC billet cover plate on it and I'm not certain the factory seal is like the ARC seal. I think the factory seal is wider. Anyone know?
