Hello all,
I was recently given this go kart by a gentleman I w ork with. He knew nothing about it as it was given to him on trade for some work he did. I plan on fixing it up a little so my 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter can ride it. As you can see, somewhere along the lines it got a "custom" paint job, and it appears it had a roll cage of some sort cut off of it. It does run, it has a Briggs and stratton engine on it, but I dont believe it to be original. I'm unable to find any tags elsewhere on it to help me identify the manufacturer of it. Hopefully someone will be able help, it would make gathering parts a lot easier.

Hello and welcome...
Off hand I'm not too sure what it is..
It did have a cage at one point and I'm guessing the PO hacked it off... Using it may weaken it as it doesn't have as good structure to support as it did... But it may be good enough... The experts will chime in to confirm...

It looks like a one-wheel-peel and a Briggs of some type...if your wanting to just get it going... I'd get a new preditor motor and start on that... Or if wrenching is your thing... The Briggs looks like it'll just need a recoil starter and a filter with adapter...
Hopefully it turns over...

:welcome2:
that's a carter bros superwheels.
modelnumber escapes me currently... (1735 .. 1755 or such)

it's a tubed live axle btw.. (well should be that is)
the front bumper doesn't seem to be original (not what I remember and it looks homemade)

And now the bad news: if you need a kart-specific part (IIRC this has the clover wheelhub too)
are no longer available..
so you will need to buy generic kart parts anyways.

Its definitely a Carter Bros Super wheels cart. Like Itsid stated Carter went out of business in 08 when the factory burned to the ground. As for parts you can retrofit many parts to make it work from BMIKarts and as for the infamous G308 hub that Itsid was referring to, is impossible to get. However if it is in good condition you can have a new keyway broached or have one made by a machinist friend like I did.
