Thanks. I put a caliper on it. It's supposed to be 0.92" wide, mine is worn down to 0.81". Supposed to be 0.45" thick, and mine it 0.38". Ordered a new 300668. Hopefully that will do the trick! :auto:

As long as these things are measured by OD (which I'm assuming), it has not stretched.

Well turns out it was the torque converter. It has loosened up some, but before it was sticking and causing the engine to jerk around a bit and run like crap, as well as stall. Its working a little bit better, but I'm afraid I need to investigate what it's going to take to repair/replace it. All...

Nope didn't mess with carb. All gaskets are in correct place. In previous thread was the old engine I bought a new carb for. Nope just a governor removal and top plate installed.

Everything was lined up when I sealed it up, all 4 dots. Also the reason why this is done before starting it, is so the gaskets are easily removed.

Removed governer, installed top plate. Tank is clean clean with new tank filter. Checked throttle and choke linkages, they seem to be working fine. :cheers2:

Well as some of you may have already guessed, my engine swap is not working out yet. I replaced a 420 predator that had a sticky valve and tossed rods for a new one. I remove the governer, and put an arc racing top plate on it (henceforth let it be known that the arc racing top plate does fit...

Yes I came across some of your posts on another forum, I see you have something else (I forget the name - power something?) I did also come across that website you linked to. I passed because it didn't appear the top plate has any throttle linkage at all. But I seriously studied your pic...

Thanks! What is your fabbed accelerator arm pivoting from? I picked up a bracket, steel bar stock while in town. I was following that shen youtube video yesterday so I clipped my accelerator rod. I'm afraid it may not be long enough now. So I picked up something similar, it's just a bit thicker...

Is there a write up or video on how this is done? I watched one video on youtube by shen something. But it's wrong. It would have the engine idle when gas is applied - backwards. Anyone know how this is done??? Thanks.

would be nice to know what engine you have. if its the predator 420, how did you remove the governer?
