Yeah I've heard of the started methid and was thinking about it. Just don't want to end up in a get out and push this 1000lb kart backwards situation if it can be avoided. The starter thing doesn't look too bad so maybe I'll go that route.

Hey all checking in from Minnesota. Just started kart building a week ago when my son asked if we could build him one. Went out and bought a lincoln pro mig, hooked up with a local metals supplier and fabricatore (very cool guy and great deal on metal) and away we go! This has been fun already...
