Well, I originally wanted to use wood as it was a bit easier to work on and that I have a bit of experience, but now I wanted to switch to a metal chassis. Plus I hope my contraption to go at some speed (say 25mph) and so yeah I can't really take much from it. Cool video tho.

Thanks for all the suggestion and stuff, I decided I want a single 1200W 48V motor. This is probably a dumb question, but can I run a 48V 50Ah battery pack through a 48V 1200W controller into the motor? Or will the controller just fail? Thanks again in advance

So I decided to make an electric kart as a summer project, and I was wondering if I should get 4 350W motors or a single 1400W motor? Also, I don't have a particular kart to work on because I don't have one yet, is it better to buy a kart or just cut a custom one out of 1 inch walnut (which is...
