Yeah I love the way it looks and its nice to sit up off of the ground. I just didn't think ahead about how it would actually run with those tires b/c this is the first kart I have built and I didn't look into the gearing issue until now, lol.

I did center the steering from where it was b/c I'm not a small guy, lol. I also removed the gas tank from the motor and mounted it beside the motor so that I can slide the seat back farther. Its actually pretty comfortable for a go kart. The seat was just a piece of plywood when I got it so...

Ok, I really appreciate the help and I guess will be getting rid of these golf cart tires and finding something a lot smaller.

I just mean its not a live axle, its only 1 wheel drive. I believe the tires are 18" which from what I have researched so far are just too big and will not work with a centrifugal clutch.

I have a fixed axle so I don't think there is room for a jackshaft so I'm guessing that I will have to just go with smaller tires. I don't know exactly how big torque converters are or if they will even work on a fixed axle but maybe thats a possibility.
