Thanks you have been a great help. I have spent sooo long searching the uk internet for suitable motors and i do know roughly what i'm looking for, however as i said before either REALLY EXPENSIVE MOTORS or cheap crappy ones and nothing really in between, i was just trying to rule out...

Okay IF... I removed the gearing system at the front, just unbolt the 4 bolts... Would this motor be okay? because i know geared motors are bad for go karts... P.S the motor is 25.8cm in length so much bigger than the electric scooter motor from earlier...
