Should I remove the jet off my go karts carb? And are all stock 5HP briggs carbs the same?

I was removing the governor on the engine and I accidently took the Butterfly lever off. I sort of got it to go back on but now it doesn't turn completely (now it comes off VERY easily). What should I do?
