Is it the linkage that is sticking, or the throttle itself? If the throttle is sticking the it may be due to buildup of some sort on the throttle plate, be it carbon or possibly dirt. Have you tried cleaning the carb?

This kit costs roughly $800, a little pricy but its almost all plug and play. If carrying the compressor is alright then air shift could be doable. Im not quite sure how you would deal with the neutral issue though. Also i dont know how well a compressor and air system would fair in a high...

I had the same idea of making it an RC given its size, but the cost of the controllers and batteries would put us way over budget.

Thanks! Yes they are indeed Harbor Freight tires, with the current gearing the projected top speed is only 22mph (with torque converter 10% over drive) at 3500 rpm. The governor has been removed from the engine so I'm unsure of the actual top rpm. Even at 4000 rpm the top speed could only reach...
