Thanks...lol. was just looking at the Baja web site to compare the old vs. new. looks like they are about same size. seat height anyways. On a positive note ...the older style looks to have the handle bars bent in a straight -up position. giving that a lil more reach/stretch.

sounds like^ you^ found a Great deal on those "older style DB", In WV. I like the older models better. just wondering if they were about the same size/seat height.

2slicknick; 3 wow, ya I was just thinking the "newer ones" looked cheaper built. I would most likely be doin an eng swap, Im only 5' 9 but at 215lbs. Are the frames about the same size & seat height? In MHO the newer DB looks kinda like a moto! I seen a DB in the local CL ad's but wasn't sure...

Been thinking of adding some spot lights on the Dingo. Just wondering how to hook up power from? It's not a battery powered or elec start model. thanks

So Ive been looking into a mini bike purchase; doodle bug . was wondering if anybody has / had the older models(DB30/dirt bug/Baja racer)? kinda like those better than the new DB30 , the one with the plastic looking fenders. anyways, do they both have the same specs...seat height, eng etc. any...

yup, she runs good now... since the carb, fuel tank and gas line has been properly cleaned out. next on the to-do list: inspect torque converter. The driver part was worn out, one spring all stretched out? ahhhh

Hey , thanks everybody! got the carb cleaned up , tank flushed and replaced the fuel line from tank to carb, kinda dry rotted anyway. The smaller bowl was gunked up a bit. So now to find a good flowing air filter/spacer and exhaust header! Thanks again!!!

Don't know how many hrs on motor,just bought used kart this past wknd. It seems to be all stock (6.5 predator). Didn't know about the compression release on these! Haha ,will look into. Is this motor also known as "clone" ? Noticed this in some of the parts suppliers listings. Spark plug gap...

I took carb apart to clean out, then decided to pull srark plug and check eng comp. It only hit 65lbs? isn't that kinda low? I also tried a few drops of oil in cyl and retried comp test, same result. valves bad maybe. just wondering.

So yah, picked up a Manco dingo kart this weekend. It has a 6.5 predator and the comet 30 tav,live rear axle and disc brake. Not to bad for $230 ? It needs front tires (bald/dryrot) engine runs ok, needs choke partially on to get going,plug has black carbon and was gapped at .10?and some tlc.

Ok so I removed gas line and let it flow out into a jar, a few specks of junk in tank. Removed tank,drained. Took off car a d will clean out later tonight. Thanks all ! I'm guessing all the predator engines use this ; Ruxing carb?

so heres the problem, eng starts fine but needs the choke to be partially closed to get it moving. I did let it warm up first also.
