    1/3 scale IHC Scout II

I think I posted this a few years ago, here's an update. I made this for my grandson 13 years ago to go with his full size Scout. It's been a lot of places and had some upgrades and now needs some maintenance.

    Hard to steer

It looks heavier than a 100 series because I used DOM tubing for spacers between every part of the axle that is only 3/4''. I thought it needed reinforcing because my grandson, who is about 250 lbs. rides it with his daughter in his lap.

    Hard to steer

I've never bought a new one but have several builds using them and I agree they could use an extra bearing support. But just being able to push it from the back yard to my driveway is so easy with a diffy. I've had it on this heavy car with a 5 speed Peerless trans for over 13 years with no...

I would replace both with heavy all thread and Heim joints.

We may lift the rear of the body a couple of inches to fit the engine under.

I saw a video of a guy that added 6 inches to his frame and body. Looked great.

I'll look into the spring spindles. Are they available to purchase or would I have to make them?

I'm pretty sure it would need a lot more power and some weight up front. But would be fun to try. I made it up on my old CR250 with a paddle.
