Sorry that was the wrong video link I was trying to send. I thought that might be the case when I took off the gear the first time. But the splines all seemed fine and there was no sign of metal shavings or flattened areas. I’ll take a better look tomorrow.

Yes that is the forward/reverse gear assembly that is shown spinning in the video. I mentioned the variator in my original post just to knock things off the checklist that might have been causing this issue. Sorry about that.
