That’s right. The material was sewn over the top nut. Which seems… stupid?? I like the idea of drilling my own hole in the metal. Seems like it should be made that way in the first place.

It’s a Coleman gk200. Sorry I meant to add a pic. Here’s the go kart itself and where it’s detaching. The one spot still connected looks like the nut is sewn into the seat fabric or something, so really having trouble imaging how to fix it.

I got my kids a new kart and we’ve driven maybe 3 days and the seat is coming almost all the way off.
it’s attached at 4 spots where there’s a nut on the seat adjustment rail, but from the looks of it those may have been just sewn into the seat material which ripped? I’m not sure about...
