Its what I found and actually took the time to read what was already out there before wasting everyone's time starting a new thread for something already covered. From your post I don't see an answer.
Mine looks very different from the pictures I put in the last reply. I have a rod that connects to a converter under the seat that converts to a cable and the cable pulls the brake band. The picture below shows that I must have a larger drum than the other pictures. Theirs is yellow mine is...
my band isnt loose, just noisy. It does stop it well however, to the point of skidding if I really mash it.

Disc Brake Replacement
I found a few diagrams on a different site that shows the brake band retainer, part no 04476, mounted. I cannot find one online so I will fabricate one. Still want to know if it is an easy swap out for a disk
