I might ask my friend a favor then. He's a full time welder. Is it possible to do without welding? I'm working in a machine shop and have access to all kind of tools and machines. Would prefer something that I can easily take down if I have to change the motor.

I can DIY weld. Fabrication no problem. I welded maybe 4-5 times in my life

Anyone done this? What I will need to perform this installation? My son keeps getting stock and sometimes it's pain in the butt to pull it out.

I just got a great deal on used Coleman KT196 for my kids. Last night I went to harbor freight to get some cheap tools. And I did take a peak at predator engines. And I have to say the Coleman's engine looks exactly the same. Are they same engines?

I said speed lever because in manual they call it "speed control". In the photo #4 you can see the cable runs next to the "throttle lever"? and connect to the lever on the carburetor.

I know the clutch sprocket is 10 teeth. The cart is located on our property out of state so I will have to check the drive sprocket when I'm there on weekend. But since I'm new to this I didn't realize there is a speed lever on the motor itself. I did not touch it. Is this my be the reason ?
