My 05 build got the boys interested. We take it for a burn from time to time on a local field. It's a good way to learn how to wind on opposite lock. But the AX6 is a whole new world.

A couple if weeks ago I bought my 14 year old son an Arrow AX6 with a KT100J he wants to race Juniors. He has been doing practice sessions at Archerfield to get a handle on it so he can race AKA next year.

That's a really tall gear ratio. I don't think it will work very well.
With regard to the rear sprocket, more teeth equals better acceleration and less teats equals higher top end speed. So you need to get the ratio right for you particular needs. Maybe a 60 tooth sprocket would be a good...
