I just opened up youtube and saw my buddy just made a short of my kart from a couple weeks ago. I just changed out the wheels and tires and should have my newest motor next week.

It all depends on what you want to do with it. What do you consider overkill? Keep in mind it comes stock with #25 chain, so it can only take so much power until you have to swap out for something stronger. The axle is some proprietary metric size that you can't get off the shelf components for...

The timed portion was about 550ft. A circle of the lots is 1/3 mile. I did a bunch of laps including snaking the whole lot a couple of times. I cut the footage way down to what seemed more interesting. The pack lasts a long time. The previous video with my kart doing the 1g launch with Zach...

The free market already chose electric. For my personal use, an ICE-powered car is never a better option.

I will have to work on my frame fabrication skills. I have only built one full go-kart frame so far. The rest is all modifications to frames.

I switched to using a Racebox Mini for data capture. It is way more accurate. Here are some test runs with more weight on the frame to see how it affects traction and acceleration.

More changes and a new GPS unit.

In light of the good performance of this field weakening, I just ordered a 48 tooth sprocket to multiply the torque more while the FW provides additional speed. Maybe there will be another video next week. If I can blow up this motor, there will be a new one the week after that. :LOL:
