I regularly hit 6500 with it but same as with the 420, I have a shield blocking it from removing parts of me. 65 is all Id really trust it for. I can rev a bit higher but if I didnt have the shield in place, idk if I would trust spinning chinese metal even that high. Heres more, the "stock"...
There are stories of flywheel exploding at stock speeds. Most people will suggest what you see in this thread, about 5k max and thats a gamble still... The only 100% way to not blow it up is to never run it.
I spin a gx390 flywheel up to 6 k but since its a Honda, I can kinda trust it a little...
These are contradictory statements. Safe and reliable would be NOT changing the springs.
Dont change the springs until you change the flywheel and rod. Youre just asking for a chunk of cast iron in your thigh or back.
The engine comes without a tank but I think the tank you have should bolt to the engine. Not sure if thats necessary but Im wondering if it is. Could the tank being so high, cause enough pressure in the bowl to overflow?
Is this the carb that leaks during accel?
