Ok, finally was able to get a speed run, it was 32mph max with a slight downhill grade and was the same speed for my big butt (300lbs) as it was for my wifes (150lbs)
I would guess at 30mph, and it does feel plenty torqy, we have only had a few days warm enough to test much, but next time I get it out I will do a GPS speed test
I did some looking into the stock gearing and it looks like it is 10/60, im starting to wonder if it needs to be geared for more top end, the cart feels strong on take offs but week at 3/4 and full speed
I know technically your right, I could find a good 4wheeler motor cheap but I am looking for easy on this project, don't have countless hours to tinker
shew thats a lota money....... 2 motors at $300 each and 2 clutch setups at $300 each, not sure I can wrap my head around $1200 but I just might if I knew they were done right and not too difficult
I am definitely looking for more than just a "wee bit", I've kicked around the idea of upgrading these and I have already put on pipes and air filters and opened up the governors, but its still way to much of a dog for us
