Ok, I got a torque converter for the kart. I need to clean the driven on the jack shaft. (I think I'm using the right terms) What's the best way to clean it? If I remove it, it would be easy but I didn't want to do that without knowing for sure how to put it back and get the spring right.

I didn't know they sold carbs either. I'll look into that. I got a torque converter last week. I may start on this project this week. Thanks for the info. I'll keep this updated as I go along.

Welcome, what Murray Kart did you get, I just got one too and need all the info I can get on it..

Idle fluctuates...Im also not sure if the linkage is connected properly. The one that connects to the card is a bent piece of copper wire. Is there a diagram or something for these engines??

Hello, new to karts have a couple of questions. I recently acquired a Murray Explorer go kart with a Tecumseh 6.5 hp motor. Cleaned the carb got it running ok but engine kinda of surges a little. Any advice on how to smooth out this engine? It was missing the torque converter, I have one...
