I can't see a keyway track on the axle. There is a track in the hub. But you've given me an idea, I'm going to attempt to (carefully) drill out the key. I'm not overly concerned about the threads back there as the lug has an additional 1/8" clearance because of a washer. Too bad I can't get it...
