I have a manco intruder II and just bought a GTC torque converter. The problem is the bracket for the torque converter hits the sprocket and there is not enough room for the chain. I am thinking I need to raise the motor up. Any suggestions for raising the motor up?
check out my post i recently had. http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=22073
I have a manco 607c. Cleaning the carb and torque converter made a world of a difference. I purchased the china knock off from ebay for $116 and the only problem i had with it was the supplied bolts were...
So I just wanted to wrap this up for anyone that may come across this. Today I installed the torque converter. It made a world of a difference. I also ended up replacing the subframe since it had previously been cracked and rewarded. After installing the torqu converter it no longer takes 10 min...
So I partly took the carb apart and sprayed it with carb cleaner. I also changed the oil. It starts right up and after about 5-10 min of warming up your could hear it kick over to wanting to run like the choke disengaged. I think I am on the right path and will test it out this weekend. Then...
Not that I prefer them but I was researching cross ref for the plug and many people said that plug was junk. Most suggested ngk and that was the plug I found and was available any my local auto parts store. It's only $3 so I might get one just for sh*ts and grins.
So I took out the spark plug and this is what I got. It looks carbon fouled (or almost there since it still runs). Any thoughts on this?

The only question i have is it says 10T sprocket for a 41...
I had a conversation with a seller on ebay a month or so ago and he suggested the 40 series due to my specs. He also said there is not "kit". Do you agree with him that i would need to go with that size?
So i tracked the guys phone number down from my old cell phone bill. I just texted him asking if it had a torque converter and if he still had it. Now we wait to see if he responses.
I will get pictures hopefully tonight but the more i research this i think the guy i bought the gokart from screwed me and pulled the torque converter off before selling it. I have not been able to find any specs where the manco intruder comes with a centrifugal clutch. He said when i bought...
