I got, what I thought to be a great deal on a Coleman 200. The previous owner had installed a carb and exhaust. When I went to get it, it wouldn't crank because the carb was out of adjustment. I got it for $100. Since I've owned it, I've adjusted the carb and installed 2 new tires (it needed them bad).
So today I rode it for about 20 minutes with no issues. It ran like a champ, fast and responsive. I decided to take it to the road and do a top speed test. With the throttle wide open it felt like it was being governed as it never got past about 26 MPH. When I got back to my driveway it shut off (first time since I adjusted the carb). It was low on gas so I filled it up, made another carb adjustment and decided to test it in the yard this time (less to push if it dies again).
It died alright, just not in the way I was expecting!
