Coundn't have done it without yer "tech support" Thanks!
I feel purdy stoopid after this. I know electronics/electric enough to not let this become a major fiasco. l blame the "chinglish" labeling system!

Bottom line --- it works, and it'll be outta my way in a few days...l

I got the basic procedure, I'm looking for shop secrets. I have even used the starting fluid and match method, out in the middle of nowhere.
These are really stiff tires, difficult at best.

Shop secret... take it to a tire shop.

If your not sweat dripping and bloody knuckles your doing it wrong. Lol.
The smaller the tire the harder they mount it seems.

A pair of vise grips clamped to the rim help keep the start end from walking as you work the other side.

Bloody knuckles? I would not know what to do if l didn't get at least one, daily!
This is a matter of pride. Showing the young whiner generation that us old guys are, tougher, smarter and more resourceful.
Yeah the wager will be nice to collect, but it goes way beyond that. The reputation of the whole 65+ generation is at stake here!
I need all the support l can get, so tomorrow we can hold our heads high, knowing we still got it!

I had to eat crow today, and buy a case o beer! I failed! I let my whole generation down!
And the son in law got the last laugh. I let him pay the $22 the tire shop charged!
Dem tires are without a doubt the stiffest l have ever seen.
Bottom line:
Its done! It works, its tested, its loaded up and ready for delivery!

Take it to the tire shop. That IS the secret
It certainly is, and you did suggest it!.
my 40 year old self kept shouting, "how difficult can this be?"

it was only 10 minutes into the project we had two bloody apendages and a few seriously interesting cussing streaks! I actually learned some new words and was able to teach some as well
