Props to Functional Artist for making the attempt and getting the idea of supporting this site for years to come. Hopefully a legit support site or funding thingy is made so we can donate with confidence and keep this great site alive and moderated!
So Robert might still get mail a that address, but I know he isn't currently in Texas.
A PayPal link to donate would actually be a good idea. It probably isnt too hard for him to set up either

It's past due for one (PayPal) and a minor incentive in the form of a banner or badge for members that are supporters. But the Admin will have to do that in the forum software, if it is possible.

It would go against the spirit of the forum, but one forum I was a part of years ago, if you wanted to upload more than 10 photos, you had to pay to be a member. Sad thing is though, once the build was done and that member no longer paid the small fee per year, only the first 10 pictures would show, and everything else would be missing. So that destroyed build threads, about as bad as the Photo bucket fiasco from about a decade ago now.
Other than a banner for our names, not sure whatelse we could have to show we are paying members that would not ruin the fun of the forum.

Or just an unrelenting wave of posts in pretty much every section now. Seems like they would rather have their own threads. Sadly, I think we need to put a pause on new member for the time being until Robert can get everything under control.
Do we have an email or something we can use to contact the web designer or whoever hosts the forum? Maybe they can look into it on Robert's behalf?

Yeah that was a version of Vbulletin if I recall. Wasn't very mobile friendly, unlike this new one. I'm sure a modern version of it would be fine for mobile, but this one is so much better.Didn't mean to imply you were, I LOVE

Some days the spam seems to get slower and other days it just drops every few minutes it seems. Maybe it's just me but they appear to hit at certain times of the day too.

I am not sure where it is all coming from, but interestingly enough there have been loads of them selling spells from a Sangoma. A sangoma is a traditional healer/diviner here in southern Africa. All the towns that they mention are also towns here in South Africa. It just seems a bit strange to see all the familiar names in spam
I can see IP addresses of the users, but i haven't bothered to figure out where they are all from.
