I got the track tricycle at a scrapyard for 15 bucks. It sat around for a few months and of course that thought comes to your head....... That would be pretty cool if I had a motor on it. So I tried a little 2 hp But all I had was a clutch that was belt drive and I couldn't find a pulley big enough to have it have any power so I Took it apart and And put it to come to power sport 3.5 HP with a comet clutch and a 72 tooth sprocket and 35 chain . And it's nuts!!!! You can't floor it even on the street cause it tire just spins But about half throttle it'll pick up just like a Mini bike or a go kart I did 32 on it that's as fast as I wanted to go because I don't know really how it's gonna act IF you go ANY faster it's Kind of small LOL. And I'm 6'1" 215 pounds. No matter who you show IT to they laugh their a** off. Not to mention go on 32 MPH on it Seems real fast Probably because It has no brakes. The top picture is the 1st build And the bottom one is the current build20220701_134645.jpg20220725_135937.jpg20220727_172514.jpg

Bravo! Cheers to thinking of crazy things and making them happen. I wounder if you could get it registered as a multi wheel motorcycle?

It has no brakes.
There it is! Tried going back to reread, just found that. I've been studying the pics, trying to figure out if there's a brake rigged onto the front end or not, clearly none on rear. Reason being, I think the scariest part about the whole murder machine would be trying to apply any front braking without doing an endo.
So, will you be trying to do some kind of cheap scrub brakes on the rear, where it'd be safe?

Maybe extra thick souls on your shoes, and apply... Freddie Flintstone brakes.

That's exactly my plan as probably dual scrub breaks on the back.. I'm just not too sure on how fast you could go and what it's gonna do you know cause it's so small I put different Footbags so I'll post that picture.... No there's no breaks anywhere hidden on it lol

Sudden mental picture just now............. Some idiot like myself on a drag racing kart with wheelie bars, riding on it backwards and in reverse.
Then your trike with backwards wheelie bar out in front, front brake locked up, trike's "other" third wheel saves you from endo rash.

I may just have to try some like that It would be ugly if the chain came off and somehow bound up that front tire and it locked up.. What did they used to call that? doing the "Pete rose" Down the street....... Or is it just called" lipskid..."

Haha, ah, thats awesome! Just wear motorcyle crash gear and don't have any skin showing, might as well have fun! If you have issues getting it registered, you may be able to in Vermont. I had two of these police 3 wheeled parking enforcement "multi-wheeled" motorcycles. I built a little 2" lift, put bigger tires on, and took the governor off. The little 1,000cc engine could do 73mph on the highway, but I swear I saw Jesus walking next to me at those speeds!!! Terrifying to hydroplane in a 3 wheeler! Haha
