Been looking online for ideas for different things on my Kart, had an odyssey 250 but sold it! been kicking myself ever since! so when my oldest son tore apart his 125 honda bike and then basically abandoned it, we decided to use the motor in a kart, started building it in nov of 08, been slowly putting it together since then! here are some pics of the progress, sorry bout the pics quality, all are cellphone if someone wants higher quality i can use my camera to get clearer pics

Here are more in the series showing more progress! as with most builds there are some revisions to the ride went to a jackshaft to bring the axel forward( looks better and changes the rear suspension) as well as added front suspension to bring the front up some for a more level ride.

That looks great! The only thing I'd change would be the front suspension. It doesn't look very strong, however it could just be the pictures. With a 125cc and 4/5speed gearbox you're going to want a strong kart.

Front suspension is different, I like it though! Looks like a good setup.
Everything looks fairly strong to me, for the most part.

more pics

thanks for all the comments.
Here are some more pics I have added a few new items a actual odyssey 250 steering wheel, I wanted to have the control close to the seat so my boys could reach them easier, the 250 only had brake and gas, and i needed throttle as well, so i rigged up this, looks like it will work, also needed was a replacement for the old throttle, much too short for leverage for the clutch ,I fabricated these up to help out. my best thought was to have clutch on the right as well as throttle with right thumb and brake on the left, i will have to see if this works, might have to swap brake and clutch.,initally i made the drum brake, found out it wasn't enough, so off to a junk yard for a hyd brake setup as well as making linkage.lastly ,here's my vision for fenders, who knows!!!

I used to obsess about getting a Honda odyssey before I knew what go-karts were. Yours is a whole lot cooler being it's not from a factory!

Awesome!
In that second last pic, do I see disc brakes AND a band brake? I don't think you'll need the band brake, lol.

Well since it wasn't going to cut it as an actual brake, I made it into a park brake, note the handle at the middle of the frame!

I am wondering if anyone online here would have a wiring diagram for a 79 honda xl125, as i needing to do some checking on connections i get no spark, also now i see no neutral light where i did before, wondering if possibly something got fried while welding, bummer. online searches haven't shown any results either, so any help would be appreciated!

Okay, now THAT'S cool. I like the idea of the "parking brake." Another suggestion would be to do dual levers, one for each wheel, in case ya decide to add a wheelie bar and start hanging the front end in the breeze .... The modified jackshaft setup to move the rear end in looks good, does it work well? Front suspension, bang on! I have to ask: are the kids going to be able to drive it, or is Dad going to be "testing" it a lot ........?

. o O (Man, maybe I should have this guy build a kart for me ...)

Awesome work, good pictoral of the build.
