I wouldn't use it at all myself, simply because it's more expensive lol.

It would be cheaper, stronger, and easier to adjust if you used steel tube with rod ends on each end.

The stuff Bob has, is obviously not graded anyway.

I've said this so many times....it's ridiculous...but yeah...just slip some tubing over the tie rods....and viola....double strength.

The problem with all-thread is it's all right hand thread....now...I could make my own tie rods....EXCEPT....left hand threaded dies seem to be about as hard to find in this Country as intelligent FR posts.

McMaster Carr has them, but they are around 20 bucks a piece.

Hey thats cheaper than an intelligent FR post!:surrender:

It's even worse when he seems intelligent, like with his governed coil Powerland post's... Now I have to repeat myself a million times because he misled half the forum lol.

After settling in at work. I decided my jets may be too big. I planned to be Rich anyway.$

RPMs went up as I continued to turn the fuel screw in.

RPMs never got above 3600 but I really didn't push it before the tie Rod broke.

Bob do not use threaded rod. Well you can, but it will break and bend again.
Shop around and find the proper "tie rods" for your Karts make and model.

Make? Model?
Help me here.

I was always assuming it was homemade?

There is nothing I hate worse than calling AutoStore and asking about a part and getting asked "What kind of car do you have?"

I tell them I have a Model T, ask what they drive, and see if we can move on and just get to the part in question. Nobody can help with anything without a make and model. You'd love it chancer!

No I don't love it. Had this conversation here before.
"Why does it matter how many Doors my F250 has when I need Windshield wipers"
"Why am I talking to this Moron, the wipers are on the display"
I used to work on stock cars at the local track, and they all ran Small Block 350 Chevys. Every time we needed the most basic part, Water pump, Cap and rotor... It was the same crap! UH huh what year make and model is the car?
Good luck!
Hey this could get interesting though. The guy at Auto Zone told me they were gonna start stocking small engine parts. He said the part numbers were already in the computer.
I wonder what idiotic questions they will come up with.
How many CFM is your Pressure washer?
How many tines on your rototiller?
Is this an Airless paint sprayer?

I snuck out tonight to pick up some brake parts for my newest truck. I handed the dude a list with part number's already on it like I always do, since it's essentially self-service there.

Guy takes one look and say's, "Chevy brakes?"

I was pretty astonished.. Then I told him, "No, it's a GMC!"

Yep, had a guy at autozone today that actually knew what I was talking about when I told him I needed an externally balanced small block chevy flywheel for the 383 I'm putting in my truck. Even researched the safe maximum rated RPM for me (which is a good deal, that truck has se serious woopow when you get after it and raps real fast once boost comes in)

I hope Poboy likes my new tie rods. I buckled under pressure and got the SS threaded Rod. Combined with the round rube, should be ok?

Should be great, but I guess if you die, we'll have that debate settled lol.

I have survived two failing tie rods, both times with no brakes and no helmet. I lived.

I know O'Reilly's has fuel filters, mufflers, primer bulbs, and stuff like that.

Since you're taking it back lol, usually the steel distributor is a little cheaper than the box stores. Of course, they are probably closing very soon.
