Your metal work is extremely good. I have to ask the question, as to why you are linking the frame around the engine to the rear swing arm. It would seem you should let the motor to axle part of the design take precedence. Make it functional, and then make it pretty. Unfortunately, I often have a problem keeping interest in a project long enough to get much past functional.

If you need the extra spring, then I understand. Since I have had one of these before, I remember how firm those rear springs are. The addition of the weight onto the swing arm and the lengthen of the front, should not really affect the spring rates too much.

Will explain later as to why we have gone this way, but there are good swing arm Go Karts out there and not so good ones like this one from "China", yes with the stock 6.5 Hp 3600 rpm they function with out a problem, but with the 17 hp and the torque it puts out the frame is going to have to take a lot, the swing arm system still works, but is 100 times more stable. I want the torque from the motor to say in the swing arm section and not transfer through the Kart, and for this to happen it needed to be beefed up. Well lets put that another way I would like the swing arm section to handle most of the torque.

It will be 90% off road, Grass - Sand, the odd hill climb etc, will see what it goes like and then make changes to accommodate.

Sorry to bother you about this question again but I would really appriciate if you could provide pictures and details on how you modified the steering. (If you did so which I kinda think you did :))

Yes got your message, will finish off this part on the weekend, and post pictures, most of the problem is in the frame, as it is mass produced the frame has a twist in it, but a few changes make it a lot better.

Hi, chain is not fitted as yet, due to the motor sitting behind the seat a Jack Shaft will be used, have just finished sourcing all the parts, will run a 41 T chain as both sprockets on axle and motor already have this size.

Not to sure on sprocket sizes to use but have a couple of different size's here, so will just try and see.....

Will post pic's when I start fitting this setup.

Back on the project very soon.....

Sorry for the late update
