Oh I see what you mean now. But if I get one with a bigger hole, let's say 2" it should definitely work?

Oh! I think you're in good shape then..... See what your bolt pattern is, and if it's compatible with that sprocket.
That's a pic of the brake drum, right?

The pattern is the same on both sprocket setups but what I am thinking is since one has a smaller inner hole diameter than the other that the screw allignments may be different in accordance with the size of the mounting hole

I am just hoping the bore is not to small to fit around the base it goes on. Wish I was home to check it out!

I have a 60 tooth at home that fits that drum. It's in good shape, I only changed it cause I went to a 54. I'll check it tonight to be certain. If you want it, pay the shipping AND buy some stickers from DIYGK, and it's yours..... :)welcome2: Robert.... LoL )
You do know that changing from 80 to 60 DRASTICALLY changes your drive ratio, right?
EDIT
Buy something from DIYGK and ill pay shipping on sprocket.....

Does it have the universal styling with the two small holes and the four universal type mounts? And when you slide the sprocket on does it go around the small part of the axle that the tire slides on to or does it go further into the bigger red bar the brake is around near engine? Just in general with any sprocket. May just have to wait till I get home and see it with my own Eyes. May have to take you up on that offer !

Ha ha ha ha.... Now I don't remember..... I think it has 8 holes. 4 of one pattern, 4 of another. I had to open the holes on my new sprocket to match the bolt spacing perfectly. I'll post pics of it tonight,as soon as I get home....

I was talking to my buddy who works on engines very often and he checked it out and believed my camshaft likely went completely bald and may need replacing. He said this was caused by dirty oil. He also said some part on the OHV will need to be machined somewhere (the top left piece in all my pics)

If both rockers were moving, the cam is not bald. It may be worn, but if they were both moving the same, it probably isn't.

They were moving very minimally. He said the cam has very little life left. Not sure what he ment but he said my oil was the problem as it was pretty dirty

Well, you didn't hinder, Cam but, I think credit for this one goes to ML-TOYS & XYK... only because I didn't see it first :D

Acid, as I said earlier, time to get your hands dirty; personally, I wouldn't be using that valve again, it's probably bent now; start searching for a new valve & retainer... & find a good engine shop, you may need some work on the head...

Isn't that the exhaust valve?

No sir, the intake valve is on the left (when looking at the rear of the engine) of a Tecumseh OHV just like a HS40 - HS50. You can see the muffler in line with the good valve in the pic above.;)

The cam rod fell into the engine when tinkering with it. Fell into the abyss. I will be running a predator again until I fix this or if I can't fix it keep the predator on

Here's a better illustration of my dilemma. This is a 1 5/8 bore hole in the center and all of the 60 tooth ones out there are either 2" or 1 3/8" hole. I have little room remaining as is (see picture) so I imagine once you take away another 2/8 of an inch it may be too small to fit around the kart. That being said I am completely glad to try it out. I believe it still may work

Just out of curiosity, what's a tecumseh worth in working order? Might try to sell it to fund some other parts!

You can buy a brand new complete OHH55 (same as OHH60) long block on eBay for $40, so not a whole lot. The ones on eBay have a tapered 3/4" crank which can be modified to use or clutch, or some people just use the crank out their of their old engine.

You can also buy a complete head with new valves, pushrods, and lifters to fix yours for $30 and a new cam for $22, if you're on a budget.

I new Predator is like $106 shipped to your door with the 20% off coupon code 22404776, so you have options ;)
