Lol I know I know. I was all excited. Was the first yellow trout I'd ever seen. Thought it was an albino. Took it to my dad all excited. Check thi out! He about rolled out of his chair. I guess they're common in the western US. I had never heard of it. We have mostly rainbow and brook trout as far as trout go here. That a Musky? Thats a tackle buster for sure. Never caught one of those. Did catch a 40" northern once. On accident..... I usually fish for panfish as that's my favorite to eat. When I go for size around here its catfish all the way. Ive caught some hog cats for sure. I'll try to find some pics.

And it's not that small. You gotta realize the Sasquatch that's holding it. Doesn't give it justice.

That's a Northern. A bit north of 40", with a head like a bulldog! I was pretty pleased. And, yeah- I'm just teasing. Fishin' is fishin' and fish are fish. It's all good!

What's up with the giant head??? You find a freak of nature? Mine didn't look like that! Was much thinner body and all. You Canadians are lucky. I hear the fishing up there is world class. Kinda sucks around here. Me and dad travel to to fish.

Actually, my dad caught one nearly the same size, two days prior. Healthy bugger, too. Big heads, good girth. But we had to travel. Drove 7 hours north, and got flown in to a remote lake by a bush pilot. A very memorable trip.

We don't have northerns in IL. Well we do but they're pathetic. Caught like a 6" fishing for bluegill to use as cut bait for catfish one time. When I was younger we used to stay at a place in springstead, Wisconsin. That's where I caught a big one. They had northern and Muskie up there. Was a really nice place. We went there at least once a year but the owner passed away and the place we stayed closed down. Haven't been back since. Any of you wisconsin guys know the name of the place? Guy also owned a bar and restaurant and had a 1400lbs. Yes 1400lbs hog he fed all the restaurant scraps to. He was so fat his eyes wouldnt open. Was famous for the giant pig. The pigs name was J.W. Hog. I had the t shirt a long time ago. I remember my brother and I got ahold of a bag of whole lemons. We'd throw them in there and he'd gobble them right up. Probably would've ate us if we got in his pen.
