My pet peeves about go karts are I hate vertical steering columns and I hate steering wheels with the throtle and break stuff on them. I don't like to be hunched over the steering wheel or potentially loose my grip on the throttle or breaks when turning

That a nice looking kart, but there are loads of other second hand karts that can be found running for the same price. It is up to you what you prefer. Not many karts have the throttle and brake on the wheel, so you are OK there

I don't think I have ever seen a go kart with a vertical steering column.

Not to through a wrench in the works here... but i would sugest looking on local classified adds before ordering something like that...

You could find something much cheaper, and probably better too.

friteful, you might put your location in your profile, there may well be a board member relatively near you.

Keep after the craigslist, classified ads, and garage sales. Around here there wasn't anything for months and now there are several good deals / projects for around $200 or so.

I'll also second what B.M800 said, for $500 you could probably build your own if you shopped around

I have looked on Craig's list and ebay with not much luck
i usually check several different craigslist locations, depending on how far your willing to drive, you may find one very cheap and have plenty of cash left to modify it.

i have a few that i have paid between $30-$150 for .

another thing i do when im looking is post an ad on craigslist wanted: you wouldnt believe how many people dont know how to post an item and just surf CL also people dont always think about the kart in the shed until someone throws some $'s at them
