Are you even sure it's electric start? I had an old one years back that was recoil start only, no electricals. (=no battery). Does the key switch have a "start" position? Pic's a bit dark.

Good question. I actually had to look at that pic again. If you look, there are the 3 symbols so yes, it is. But, the previous owner could have swapped it over to a recoil start. I had to do that once, not a fun process.

That looks like an early 80's late 70's John deere 111. Let me do some research real quick for you and I'll get you some answers.

btw, your mower is about an 1985, somewhere around there. I can't really give an exact year because They made them very alike back then.

How long have you had this mower? Just curious. If you put the battery in and it dies in just a couple days, do not keep recharging it. If this happens, 9 out of 10 times, it will be the voltage regulator. When they go out, it will take all of the battery power it can, draining the battery. and you can go to your local TSC to buy tires. Also, a lot of places like sears, home depot, walmart, loses, etc.. will have lawn mower tires. just get the specs off of the side of your tire and walk in and tell them that is what you need.

My 2008 Husqvarna is a 12v. So are every 2012 Cub Cadet that i sell everyday. I'm not sure where you are getting this information. If you go into a walmart, autozone, tractor supply and ask for a lawn tractor battery they will ALL be 12v. They are all the same case size and the only thing different will be cranking amps and post reversal. Take a multimeter and test the positive/negative. It will be 12v. Unless its an ancient 1950's farm tractor or an old army Jeep.
