Today we conducted combat tests on a frozen river, at first everything was fine, but then the carburetor got snow or a wrong setting, the karting began to slow down, but I still managed to drive a few laps.

after the last trip to the lake, I had a problem with the carburetor, and with automatic clutch. Disassembled the clutch to check the wear of the disks, you need to buy new ones. And there was no problem with the carburetor, it turned out that there was poor quality gasoline with impurities, there was oil sludge in it that polluted the carburetor.

That kart drifts very well. And I hate it when I get gasoline with stuff like oil in it. About half a year ago I bought 25 gallons of 90 octane recreational (non-ethanol) and used 2.5 gallons in my Buick, 3-5 gallons in my lawnmower, 3 gallons in my Warrior 350, 1 gallon in my push mower and a few gallons in some other things. Little did I know that somewhere along the line diesel was added to the gas.

In Russia, the problem of high-quality fuel is very relevant.
Quality floats and can be both good and bad. Tomorrow I intend to wash the fuel tanks, the pump and the carburetor tubing. And I hope to go for a walk again.

Today I cleaned the fuel system, and also replaced the spark plug. There are no trainings yet because we have cold weather.

Today we had a training on the ice, the maximum speed on the track reached 50km / h, the length of the track was 400m. I think I can achieve greater speed, but very slippery. After training, I had a problem with an oil leak, it began to flow. Tomorrow I will mount the video from the action camera, I will begin to disassemble the flow of oil. Motorcyclists racing speeds rode with us on the ice.

I thought that the oil flow from the sealing ring. But it turned out that the crankcase cover bolts had burst from the vibration, and had squeezed the gasket. On the ice track, the motor spins 5800 rpm.

At least you can fix the oil leak easily enough.

Yesterday, replacing the crankcase gasket, I ran into overheated clutch discs, I think it turns, and this overheats. According to the color of the disc, I believe that there was overheating at the point of 330-350 degrees Celsius. I have reinforced discs of increased thickness, I will try to install them to make the distance between the discs smaller. What do you think about that?

Just changed the gasket cover crankcase.

Also, my modified rod is still in work, at the moment I drove 4 hours at maximum loads.

And I am now considering an order camshaft, advise what budget option to use?

Today closed the winter season! The race was held at the speed skating stadium, unfortunately I had no chance to be on the podium. My rivals used tires with a big spike, and powerful engines. After 3 runs I had a gasoline filter broken, I replaced it with a tube connecting the hose, and then I lost the kick starter kick and the race was over. In general, the season was not easy, we were chased by breakdowns, and the rivals were more experienced with powerful engines. We are preparing for the summer season, the race on asphalt is May 11th.

May 10-11, we held the first competition in the summer season. Unfortunately, my motor exploded in training, and I could not make races, and the children from our team continued to race. .

It went from an internal combustion engine to an external combustion engine. Looks like the rod knocked a hole in the side of the block. Hope you can get a different engine and continue in the season.
