Use the brakets but not the screws. Use bolts with washers and locking nuts, that and use 2X4's instead of the small boards you have. You will probly get a couple weeks ride before it starts falling...

The reason that sprockets go from 60 to 72 tooth is, the number of degrees between the tooth count. 60 tooth is 6*, 72 tooth is 5*, it is realy hard to engineer a sprocket that is not a whole number...

That should not be much of a prob. 1mm isn't enough to hurt. Check your axle see if it is flexing, that was the prob when my anco did the same thing
