Well you were right about that piece. I cut about an 1/8th in. off the end and sure enough that end plate literally fell off and tada the end of the crankshaft was exposed.

Now will begin the pulling process, which I've started. Everything is so rusty that it's really on there. I'm going to continue to apply heat and PB and let that settle for a day or so and see if it slides off a little easier. Maybe I need a better puller. It's really hard to keep the crank from spinning.
