hey guys, so today i was working on my mower that has a Briggs 18hp opposed twin, and I did not have my starter hooked up and i could hear the solenoid clicking. I hocked up my starter and it started to engage but the stopped. and nothing happened and now the solenoid doesn't click or any thing. whats wrong?

never min neutral safety switch was not pushed correctly.
