Why is my gokart so **** hard to push, and when it's started, it takes off by itself whether the brakes are on or not. :mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2:

1 get longer belt.
2 shorten distance between PTO and JS.

well

pushing the kart is a very reasonable thing to do..

say you got IN your garage forward.. without reverse the only option you have is pushing it back,
if you want to start out of the garage forward you'd have to PUSH it in backwards...

So.. stop playing stupid guys.

Yes, longer belt, or shorter distance is the most obvious thing to do,
in your case the latter...
loosen the engine bolts a hair, tap it with a mallet to move an eights or so, tighten them back up, and you should be good.

K, what about a 40 series belt?

Yip, what about it?

This is simple. If you have a 30 series, you need a 30 series belt. If you have 40 series, you need 40 series belt. You cannot mix and match. Both series TC's have specific belts for specific center to center distances between the driven and driver. You need to know what your distance is, and then buy the appropriate belt. If you have a 30 series, look at the chart on this page

http://www.gokartsupply.com/tcbelts.htm

The 40 series is similar, and you can find all the distance info you need here

http://www.bmikarts.com/PDF/Comet_40series.pdf

Once you have fixed all that, then you should be good to go
