So I,ve been buying an assortment of weldable hubs and sprockets. They are reasonably cheap and readily available.
Today I received the smallest tooth sprocket available. It's a 10T sprockets.

Anybody see any problems ????

Easy enough to work around, but glad I noticed before welding er up!!!.

I've now fitted 4 chain drives on my current kart (all #35) and found some problems with the smaller sprockets. BTW: Somehow I've gone completely "B" sprockets on everything (hub on one side only), but that works out for my intentions.
The problems come with the side plates (outside links) of the chains wanting to make contact with the hub when making a tight turn on a small sprocket. I just don't like the optics of it, looks wrong to my eyes. Upped the size of the small ones by a couple of teeth to eliminate that, and just upped the teeth on the opposing sprockets to maintain ratio.

Ha, good idea!
I was just going to offset the sprocket on the hub to allow chain clearance before welding it.
Turning it down on the lathe is way better.

Well I went with the welding option.
Lathe would of been better, but it's not as readily available as welding for me.
