Has anyone fitted a universal module to their points based 2 stroke ?

I have posted 2 pics. I can't quite see why it will not kick over ?
Any ideas. the 3rd wire goes out to a kill switch.

That one you've got earthed, take it off. It's acting as a kill switch.

Just for future reference, I'l post this.

Thanks

Ok thanks, I'll give that a try.
I have that picture but with most things electronic I a have never had an affinity and since it only shows the plug wire and one other (not the two) I thought that the earth wire had to stay in place. So I guess I'll just tape it up so it cant touch anything.
We are talking about disconnecting the one on the rhs of the coil just near/under the module aren't we ?

By the way are you the sideways from aussiefrogs ?

Yeah, just tape it up for now, I could be wrong after all. If you've got it all hooked up like I think you have(it's not to clear in the pic) then that would certainly be your problem.

I am indeed sideways_505 from Aussiefrogs! :D I barely ever go on there anymore though, the Suzukis have somewhat taken over my life. Who are you and what car(s) do you have?

also you can use the atom module which you can find in old echo(and probably other brands aswel) weedeaters and hedge trimmers etc. Also australian made but out of production i think.

as a side note these modules can also be used on the industrial 4 strokes if you wana get rid of your points

:cheers2: I am 406bliss but no longer have my 406 or 306 and am driving a 2005 607 6 speed V6. Underrated, undervalued but great for cruising around (its not a sports sedan) with wife and 2 small kids (3.5yrs and 3weeks) massive boot... they were $72,000 new. Got a one owner with complete peugeot service record and just serviced, 89,000 kms for $10,000 off a dejected owner that was only offered (9-12 ) as a guide to trade it on a 508 (ouch ! ).
