Here we go. It is the rods that push or pull the spindles to allow the kart to turn

Here is a PM that I got from sreejith. Maybe you guys can also give some input. I would just go with good old tie rods. Just make sure that your steering geometry is correct. Have a look at THIS thread regarding that.

Hey, that kart looks familiar... :) The "tie - rods" tie the "heim joints" (the ball joint assembly) together. Good luck with your project.
