Hi,
I have just finished my kart for like the 5th time (suspension and roll cage added- pics and vid to come soon!)
I have a brand new throttle cable and outer sheath, and for some reason I need a really strong return spring otherwise the throttle sticks. I lubed up the cable before I installed it, and there were no kinks (new cable!) Any ideas (pics will come later!)
Cheers
Rob

No the carb linkage isn't binding or no it doesn't pull easily/smoothly? Also does the pedal travel freely and does it have a return spring?

No the linkage doesn't bind. The pedal moves fairly freely (I will back off the nyloc 1/4 to 1/2 turn though, see if it helps.
No return spring on the pedal, never used to have one.

that top nut on the throttle arm is your awnser

No it's not :biggrin5:

I may just run it with a big spring. The only reason I can see are the curves in the sheathing, but they are not that tight. I will loosen the pedal a little also.

Oh and BTW can anyone spot the use of old chain parts in my throttle setup?

I cant tell what is what for most of your pictures, so no clue there. But I can tell you that I have pedal return spring on the throttle pedal and i've never had a problem with my HF clone.

Well done :) Stock my gx160 has a little plate to clamp the black sleeve, so I figured I would work on the same principal.
I will run through the throttle setup to find where the restriction is at the W/E. Official School for the first time since May 23rd tomorrow :(
