Tav1 tav2

Hello everyone I'm brand new to the group. I have a Coleman CT 200u with a snap on 210 7hp which is just another clone engine and I also have a custom mini chopper that I have no idea what brand it is. The the chopper I have what I believe to be a comet 30 series Tav1 torque converter. My question is what is the difference in a Tav1 and tav 2?

A vintage first gen TorqueAVerter is a great piece to have on a vintage mini bike.
it has allegedly a slightly different ratio than newer series 30s do

and a pressed steel backplate instead of the aluminium cast backplate that ships with the TaV2

the original TAV is NOT to be mounted on go karts!
the additional weigzht (and torque stress thereof) cannot be handled well by the backplate
whereas the aluminium backplate of the TaV2 can handle most kart's weights rather effortlessly
