Very reasonable price! I have an Ace not too far from me, I'll shop about. In terms of the bacon pun, it's quite delicious. And Denny, any good mechanic from The Rust Belt will totally agree with that statement.

It's a little short, but that's par for the course. Going for "resto mod" no flag, red paint, Predator, black wheels and accents. I'm hijacking at this point... might as well finish... first kart project so I'm not expecting perfection. Picked mine up for $200, with a crappy Clinton 3.H.P. how much was yours? So we don't hijack you can respond on my build thread.

Anyhow, these Ken Bar karts have an adjustable seat so that's something right? Then again my mantra is always: go karts are too short for adults but they were designed that way.

My kart was complete minus the engine and the striped seat cushion which was long gone. Bought it in 2016 (sheesh) I think for $100 which isn't great but also isn't terrible for a roller. My beef is with people asking $100 for a damaged, stripped, clapped-out, rust pitted frame with slight remnants of 50 rattle-can paint jobs all poorly applied.

I am going for resto-resto-mod which means as close to factory cond. as possible. Would love a re-popped Ken Bar manufacturer decal (rectangular, about normal bumper sticker dimensions) and the enormous "The Rebel" floor pan sticker but that's pushing it over the line and I have no photos of an intact "Rebel" to show to a graphic designer to recreate. My decal was half faded to white so it got peeled off with a heat gun.

A "crappy Clinton" engine is a bonus to me! I would like to have one of those for my collection.

adjustable that's right. $200 in 2022 wasn't too bad, still had original paint and (damaged) stickers. All the stickers are off and now learning preparing stuff. Thanks about the thread, lots of learning here. I look forward to learning for you and messing around too. :lolgoku:

Just waiting on the angle grinder wrench and I’ll be wire wheeling, lost the other. :mad2:

@Hellion, I may be able to ship that Clinton to you, though I doubt you want it. 3.5 hp 404 model. Just pay shipping. It has been disassembled for a few weeks now, I couldn’t get to run and decided to check out the internals, sue me… a little scoring but not horrible. As I said, I doubt you’d want it but I’ll offer anyhow.

Me and @BrownStainRacing were talking and we got a plan for putting a TC on my Streaker, and I figured the adventure should be shared for everyone to enjoy, and for anyone with a similar predicament. One issue I see with adding a TC and adjustable engine mount is side rail clearance. Here’s a picture. A few us can mull it over in our heads, but right now a cutting wheel looks like the only option. I won’t cut anything till I have all the parts in front of me.IMG_3226.jpegmotivation 10-10

Well, won't know till you get the TC setup in hand and mocked up. It'll be interesting to see once you get it in and mounted to the engine, axle on and sprocket mounted.
