Hi. I'm new here. So my dad got ahold of an old yerf dog kart. Model #3202. So I guess the question would be is, what would be the right size steering rod? The one that connects to the axle?

I would say that the rod that needs to be replaced connects to the right of the axle(so the passenger side).

You'll get the best help if you post a couple pics, someone might spot something that's been overlooked and if not... we still like seeing pics of peoples projects! :cheers2:

Howdy :welcome2:

It sounds like the part your needing a called a "tie rod"
...which is a usually a (5/16" or 3/8") rod with threads on both ends
...& then, has a "tie rod end" threaded on each end

One end connects to the steering shaft
...& the other connects to (1) of the spindles/wheels

Here is a manual for a Yerf Dog 3202 :cheers2:
http://www.bmikarts.com/PDF/3202_D.pdf

The right tie rod is listed as (Tie Rod Right 20") part #94, on page 16
...& you can see it on the "blown up" diagram, on page 17 :cheers2:
