Steering Spindles

Hi, I'm back with another question. I have a design for the spindles on my go kart, but I'm worried it won't turn smoothly. I think if I use metal on metal it will be hard to turn the steering wheel. Can someone tell me how to make a spindle that will feel smooth and solid when I make a turn?

You'll want to have bushings or bearings for the knuckles to rotate on the king pins.
